Mentoring for Academic Success

Since 1999, Mentoring for Academic Success (MAS) has served under-represented students through after school tutoring, academic guidance, and parent support. We strive to assist students in academic proficiency and in cultivating an early interest in STEAM fields (STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math education). In addition to tutoring and STEAM lessons, we offer enrichment meetings for parents focusing on academic motivation, communication skills, university-readiness, and more.

Beyond the school-year tutoring, MAS offers a summer Youth Writing Festival giving students an exceptional opportunity to build literacy and creative writing skills while experiencing STEAM related activities, visits from experts, and field trips.MAS staff includes a program director, site coordinators, and a strong corps of university level tutors.

During the 2016-2017 school year, MAS will be accept students in Berkeley, Richmond, and Redwood City. MAS will run from September 19, 2016 to May 4, 2017. The registration fee for MAS is $200 payable at the moment of registration. This fee covers the entire school year.
(We are now accepting registrations on a first come first serve basis)
