Project Description
Angelica Portillo is one of our newest staff members and has a passion for community growth. She is a college student studying Sociology to become a Social Worker in hopes of making a difference in this world. Being Portuguese, Mexicana, and Ecuadorian has allowed her to dive into those cultures and sparked her interest in working with immigrant communities and guiding them in their next steps in life. Every day she walks in grateful to be at MI because of the work that is and its impact. She is an advocate for Mental & Physical Health, Social Justice, Gender Equality, and Systematic Change. On her day off you can find her watching/playing soccer with her siblings, listening to music, painting, doing photography, or relaxing on the couch with snacks and a good TV series.
