Rudy Lara is from Jalisco Mexico and as an immigrant himself he is passionate about helping his local community. His favorite hobby is to walk his dog and make other people laugh with his jokes. Rudy joined MI in 2005, having many years of experience supervising personnel and working locally in the Richmond community. Thanks to his leadership MI was able to expand the Life Skills/Day Laborer Program to Contra Costa County and began leasing a Richmond building in 2010. In addition to supervising staff, he has worked to seamlessly integrate MI into local and regional institutional networks, coordinating with county, city, non-profit, local businesses, and other community partners.
